A Vietnamese national, Van completed studies in English and French at the Hanoi University for Foreign Study as well as studying General Business Management at the Hanoi Economic University. Other accolades include a Certificate of Hotel Manager and Marketing, a Certificate of International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a Test of English in Communication (TOEIC), a Certificate of Hotel Management, a Certificate of Accountant and a Certificate of Computer Office Software.

Most recently he held the position of General Manager and Director of Sales at the Hanoi Delight hotel and the Namngu Hotel in Hanoi. Previous experience includes being the Hotel General Manager at the Tuong Phat LTD Co, the General / Business Director at the Thai thinh Joint stock company (Asean resort) and General Manager & Sales Director at the Prince Hotel, Hue. From 2003 to October 2006 he was the Chief executive officer and Business management at Vinh LTD Company in Hanoi. And he was the Front Office / Sales Manager at the Prince Hotel, Hanoi.

Much of Pieter’s career has been dedicated to the Accor Group and in his numerous positions roles as General Manager he has worked in Japan, Northern Vietnam, Belgium, and the Central African Republic. Mr. Pieter is currently the Area General Manager for Northern Vietnam at Accor Vietnam Hospitality.

Born in Australia and educated at RMIT University in Australia, Mr. Adam has joined CitySmart following his successful career with the InterContinental Hotels Group as the General Manager at InterContinental Westlake in Hanoi and the Westin, Melbourne, Australia.

His experience includes Researcher, Head of Institute, Institute for Tourism Development Research in Hanoi; Deputy director Department of Science, Technology and Environment at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi, the Deputy director Department of Institution and Human resources Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Mr. Tanaka was born and raised in Japan and educated at the Waseda University in Japan.

He has gained extensive international work experience in Hotel Management in India and Atlanta Georgia, USA; where he concentrated on Project Development & Sales Management. He has also held management positions at JAL Hotels Company Limited, Hotel Nikko Narita and Hotel Jalcity, Matsuyama, Japan.

Mr. Tanaka is the current General Manager at Hotel Nikko Hanoi and is an Advisory Member on the CitySmart board
