WSET Educator

Tran Thi Dung Tram (Jasmine)

Jasmine is a WSET Level 3 holder and certified educator, she is able to deliver the WSET Level 1 and 2. Jasmine found that she was especially motivated by the power of wine to enhance the dining experience for both the guests and herself. She becomes a Sommelier and then a Wine Educator with an internationally recognized program.

Jasmine completed the WSET Level 3 with Double Distinction and started her full-time role as Wine Educator in CHM Wine school after finished WSET Educator Training Program in Hong Kong.

President

Thomas Justin T.Q. Chan

Dr. Thomas Chan is the President and Founder of CitySmart Group, which is founded in 2004 and has operation in different cities of Vietnam.

CitySmart Group includes: Education system for children starting from Kindergarten, Primary School to High School branded as Maple Bear (Canada), Chain of English speaking center (Switzerland), Hotel Management School CHM (UK Qualifications), CHM Career Development, CHM Property Development, TopChef Restaurant, C’est Bon Bakery & Restaurant.

General Director

David Vu (Vu Tat Dat)

Before joining CitySmart Group since 2015 and progress from Program Manager to General Director of CHM International Institute, David has over 13 years of experience in the service and hospitality industry. He has held several managing positions with reputable international corporation in the industry, including Intercontinental Hotel Group, Accor, Sunway Group, Keangnam, Vingroup.

He managed to setup and pre-open several high quality standard Hotels & Services Apartment complex (Crowne Plaza West Hanoi, Keangnam Landmark 72, Calidas Royal Residence, Vinhomes Timescity & Royal City, Vinpearl Resort & Villas). With great passion and endless endeavors to develop the hospitality industry and provide qualified human resources for the future, he always aim to develop CHM International Institute as a place that inspire students to start their journey and to reach their final destination of being professional hoteliers.

School Director

Vu Thi Thao (Mia)

Mia joined Hotel Management programs in Sweeden and Belgium Universities before joining CHM. She is the Master of Education from Hanoi National University of Education.

She was the Vice president – occupational programs, in charge of the Demonstration restaurant, Hoa Sua hospitality school. Mia has many years of experience in teaching and training managers in Education, she helped hundreds of students to start their career in the hospitality industry. She also trained many staffs & managers for 5 stars international hotel brands such as Hilton, IHG, etc. She is able to inspire all the students, drive them toward the success for the career path in the industry.

Wine Education Program Director

Jeanette Robson

Jeanette Robson is a WSET Level 4 Diploma holder and certified educator with 15 years’ experience. In addition to delivering the WSET Level 1, 2 and 3 programs, she is a regular WSET Educator Training Program facilitator and assessor. Prior to becoming the Lead Educator for CHM, Jeanette has run wine training programs for Berry Brothers & Rudd and Hyatt International.

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

Hannah Dang (Dang Diem Hang)

Ms. Hanah was the Director of Customer Services Centre of Bao Viet Insurance, and she used to work at Sheraton Hanoi as Tele-Performance Supervisor.

CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM MANAGER

Camaron Hoang (Hoang Dinh Doan)

Camaron has more than 15 years of experience working and teaching at KOTO Vocational Training before transferring to the faculty of Culinary Arts for CitySmart Hotel Management.

His knowledge base is a subtle combination of multicultural culinary culture. Share of the subject is currently the hottest hiring trend in recent years, says Camaron. “The art of culinary arts is a passionate subject of passion for the profession. The characteristics of this industry are meticulous, patient and skillful from the stage of selection, raw materials to the finished products to the customers “.

Started working at CitySmart Hotel Management International School so far, he had great merit in spreading the fire and career direction for the generations of CHM students. His lectures are theoretical, practical hours of food.

Matthieu Lagarrige

Matthieu Lagarrige is originally from Southern France and spent 15 years working there as a pastry chef. Matthieu is a talented chef who holds different certificates in the fields of Pastries, Bread, Sugar Art, Traditional French Bread and Food Safety. Matthieu has his own bakery in France, named Pain Jole.

Yestin Le (Le Cong Yen)

Lecturer Le Cong Yen – Culinary Arts Department.

Hospitality Management Lecturer

Peter Le (Le Puya)

Mr. Peter has over 18 years of experience in Hospitality industry, especially in Hotel Management. With his passion in providing high quality services, he has held key management roles at Melinh Tower – Melinh Plaza Complex, Vinhomes, Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, and Crowne Plaza Hanoi. Currently, he is in charge of Reception Department and Project Department of CHM.

 

Hospitality Management Lecturer

Linda Pham (Pham Thi Bich Lien)

Linda began her career in the hospitality industry in 1993 with a variety of managerial roles in the hospitality industry at Daewoo, IHG and Vingroup. Attended 23 years in the profession, she has a lot of experience, as well as extensive knowledge in the organization, operation and training of human resources development.

Hospitality Management Lecturer

Michael Ballantine

Michael comes to CHM after living and working in Vietnam for the past ten years working first as a project manager for Son Ha Spice & Flavors and then as a lecturer for ETC and Pegasus International College.  He completed his Master’s in TESOL and Curriculum Development in 2012 and is currently a candidate for his PhD in Higher Education at Andrews University.  Prior to his relocation to Vietnam, Michael worked in Madagascar, Indonesia, Singapore, and the United States in the spice industry, specializing in Vanilla products.

Originally from Philadelphia, Michael gained a scholarship at the prestigious Milton Hershey School, a school renowned for providing educational opportunities to disadvantaged children. He completed his Bachelor at Dickinson College as well as a post-baccalaureate diploma in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.  After working in finance and banking for five-years, he began his career in spice trading at Shank’s Extracts.  After stints as Office Manager, Sales Manager, and Chief Financial Officer, he relocated overseas to manage the company’s production facilities in Africa and SE Asia.  His experience working in a variety of cultural contexts, managing local staff, and conducting business in more than 30 countries engendered a passion for passing on lessons learned and ethical business practices to other would-be entrepreneurs.  His success as an international trader derived from his recognition that teamwork and collaboration where essential ingredients to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  After completing a production facility for Son Ha, Michael chose to become a full-time educator in Hanoi.

Michael’s experience providing skills-based English language training as well as his experience providing business education makes him a valuable asset for our CHM team and our students.
